Ricolinostat reduces spontaneous pain fiber firing in taxol induced neuropathy in rats

Pain neurons (identified as Wide Dynamic Range or WDR neurons) in the spinal cord of rats with taxol induced neuropathy have an increased spontaneous firing rate. Treatment with ACY-1215 (ricolinostat) decreases the firing rate in a time and dose dependent manner, similar to gabapentin.
